About GICA
The Goat Industry Council of Australia (GICA) is the peak national body representing the interests of goat producers. GICA’s objective and purpose is to represent and promote the national interests of Australian goatmeat, fibre and dairy producers.
Who we are
GICA is a designated Commodity Council of the Federation. As a membership based organisation, GICA works with government, industry bodies, producers and other peak industry councils to develop goat industry policy for all breeds of goats. Read more >

Industry levies
GICA is responsible for managing and making recommendations to the Minister for the distribution of income received through the goat transaction levy which currently stands at 37.7 cents per head. This income is distributed to a number of relevant organisations. Read more >
